Exists any much better way to celebrate a recent Emmy nomination
and off-the-charts tv scores than buying a new piece of real estate? Mandy Moore must think so,
since she recently closed on a Harold Zook-designed house for $2.56 million.
Although the house's architecture looks right out of Palm
Springs, the NBC star's brand-new digs are situated in the Linda Vista area of
Pasadena, just northeast of Downtown Los Angeles.
Back in October, Moore sold her Los Feliz residence for
nearly $3 million. Her new contemporary environments are a plain contrast from
the Mediterranean residence she when owned, which was dressed in classy
chandeliers and exposed beams. It appears as though the mid-century inspired
appearance is popular amongst Hollywood A-listers, including Katy Perry and
Leonardo DiCaprio.
Moore's single-story house spans 3,551-square-feet,
consisting of 3 bedrooms, 3 restrooms and a convertible den. The additional
space could come in convenient if she chooses to mimic her on-screen
character's substantial household.
The white-and-green cooking area includes two different
islands, a curved breakfast nook, skylight and integrated wine storage. Nearby,
a streamlined flooring fireplace enclosed by an enormous copper hood separates
the living room and dining room without compromising sight lines.
Big windows create an indoor-outdoor ambiance fitting for
the home's throwback style. Each primary location space uses prime views of the
exterior, outfitted in lush green landscaping, lavish pool and
pool surrounds and several outdoor patios linked by sidewalks.
There's an additional seating location with a retaining wall at the edge of the
home where sensational views of the mountainous and landscape design are
difficult to beat.
